Pet Policy
At Southfork
Resort we work
hard to be
the "Family
Place" to camp
and canoe in the
Ozarks. Here at
Southfork we
understand that
your pet is part
of your family.
Pets are allowed
in both our
cabins and our
campgrounds
under the
following
conditions.
1. Because we
are a family
place we must be
sure that your
pet would be
considered
family friendly.
So to do this
your pets must
be pre-approved.
to see if your
pet will be
allowed.
DO NOT
just show up
with a pet and
expect to be
able to stay.
Your
deposit/charges
will not be
refunded in this
situation.
2. Pets are
allowed in our
cabins. There is
a 10$ pet fee
per pet per day.
Pets that are
left unattended
MUST be
confined to a
kennel.
3. You MUST
clean up after
your pet. Our
staff will not
be responsible
for cleaning up
after your pet.
If this becomes
a problem, you
will be asked to
leave. You will
not be refunded
for your stay.
4. You are
responsible for
all damages
caused by your
pet.
5. Pets Must be
on a leash at
all times while
at the resort.
6. Pets must
adhere to the
quiet hours of
the resort. We
enforce quiet
hours at
10:00PM- 7:00am.
Your pet must be
quiet during
these hours.
Charges,
Deposits, and
Damages for Pets
-
There
is a refundable
$100 cash /
check deposit,
OR we must have
a major credit
card on file for
damages. Your
$100 deposit
will be refunded
in full
after
our cleaning
staff has
cleaned the unit
and inspected
for possible pet
damage, (please
allow 1 week for
processing)
including, but
not limited to:
1.) Chewed /
broken items;
2.) Ruined
bedspreads /
linens from pet
hair, chewing,
etc. 3.) Pets
are NOT allowed
on furniture or
beds! - If a
blanket or
bedspread has
pet hair, we
will discard it
and charge you
accordingly; 4.)
Fleas - If Cabin
Has Flees after
you check out we
will call
in a
professional
exterminator and
you will be
charged the
entire amount.
For any of the
above items, we
will deduct an
appropriate
amount from your
deposit, or
charge
your credit card
if necessary
although your
pet's damages
may exceed the
deposit.
If your pet’s
damages exceed
your deposit,
you will be held
liable for the
full amount. If
we deduct from
your deposit /
charge your
credit card for
such damages, we
will send an
itemized invoice
with a breakdown
of charges. Even
pets with good
temperaments
sometimes do not
like other
animals,
children, or
strangers. By
bringing your
pets here, you
do hereby
certify that:
You understand
other pets may
be on the
premises during
your stay, and
local animals
often wander the
property
freely. Should
any injury occur
to you, your
family, guests
or your pet(s)
from either your
own pet, or the
actions of
another guest’s
pet, other
guests, or
Southfork Resort
personnel, you
do hereby agree
to hold
blameless
Southfork
Resort, it’s
owners,
management,
employees, and
agents for any
and all damages.
You also agree
to pay damages
to other guests
and/or personnel
for damages or
injuries caused
by your pet.
